Classes offered:
Ranch Riding: Competitors execute a set pattern demonstrating regular and extended variations of the walk, trot, and lope, alongside precision maneuvers like side-passes, lead changes, stops, backing, 360-degree spins, and navigating over logs or poles.
Ranch Trail: Horse-and-rider navigate through practical obstacles such as opening gates, crossing bridges and logs, side-passing, and backing through obstacles with calm composure and steady movement.
Ranch Rail: Competitors ride together in the arena as a group to showcase ground-covering, forward gaits—including regular and extended variations of the walk, trot, and lope—demonstrating smooth transitions, light rein contact, and the comfortable movement of a working ranch horse.
Ranch Confirmation: Horses are shown in a working halter and evaluated on their physical structure, balance, muscling, and overall athletic correctness to ensure they possess the ideal build for working on a ranch.
Divisions Offered:
Open Division: All professionals, youth and amateurs
Youth Division: Competitors 18 years old and younger
Amateur Division: Non-professional adult riders 19 years old and up
Novice Amateur Division: Non-professional adult riders 19 years old and up with limited show experience
