Classes Offered:
Who it’s for: Open to all riders and all horses, regardless of age, skill level, or lifetime earnings.
How it works: This is the flagship division with the largest purse and added money. Professional competitors, futurity colts, weekend warriors, and youth riders all compete in the same draw. Times are typically split using the 4D or 5D format allowing horses of every speed tier a chance to place and win money within their respective division.
Who it’s for: Designed specifically for green horses, young prospects, or entry-level competitors looking for lower-stakes competition.
How it works: This division protects developing horses and newer riders from competing against seasoned, open-caliber teams. Eligibility is generally based on horse earnings (e.g., horses with under $500 in lifetime earnings) or competition experience. It offers a supportive environment to build confidence while still running for jackpot money.
Who it’s for: Dedicated to young riders building their skills and competing against their peers.
How it works: Eligibility is determined by the contestant's age (typically 18 and under as of January 1st).
Who it’s for: Reserved for veteran riders who want to compete within their age group.
How it works: Eligibility starts at age 45 as of January 1st.
Who it’s for: Anyone looking to practice, train, or warm up before official competition.
How it works: Exhibitions are non-competitive, pay-per-run practice sessions held before the main race begins. Runs are timed using the electric eye so riders can gauge their speed, but times do not count toward jackpot payouts or series points. It’s the ideal time to introduce a young horse to the arena, tune up a barrel turn, or test the ground.
